Summer 2010 Safety Village Camps
The Safety Village programs are offered throughout the year at our Safety Village building to educate and protect the children of our community. Each program offers a hands-on, interactive and fun way of learning about various safety issues.
Safety Village Summer Camp 2010 schedule is as follows:
The Lemont Park District and the Lemont Junior Woman’s Club have joined together to offer Safety Village Camp to kids K-3rd grade. Age requirements: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade in Fall 2010. Registration will be accepted at the Lemont Park District.
Fee: $88 rdr $55 5-day camp; $66 rdr $33 3-day camp

The Lemont Safety Village is truly an excellent venue to educate and protect the children of our community. The Lemont Junior Woman’s Club along with local professionals offer three main classes during the year: Fighting Chance, Safe Sitter and CPR Training Class for Teens. Refer below for
more detailed information and the start times of these classes.
Fighting Chance - This award winning seminar is taught by members of the Lemont Police Department and the Lemont Fire Protection District and is based on the book, Missing! Stranger Abduction: Teaching Your Child to Escape by former police officer Robert Struber. This class is a proactive, hands on program that deals with prevention, escape and survival of abduction in an empowering manner. This fall the Fighting Chance class is offered for 9-15 year olds on Saturday,

Safe Sitter - This program is a medically accurate child care course developed especially for 11-13 year olds. This extensive 2-day course is taught by experts and trained volunteers. Safe Sitter teaches the skills needed to safely care for children of all ages. Classes are taught through hands on practice, repetition, games and activities in a safe and controlled environment. CPR Training Class for Teens -
This is an American Heart Association Certification class developed for young adults ages 11- 16 years old. Learn basic adult, child and infant CPR and choking as well as the use of an automated external defibrillator.
Time: Wednesday, July 21 from 1-4:30 p.m.
